Dr. Kristen Andrews

Owner/Primary Veterinarian

Welcome! I am Dr. Kristen Andrews, the primary veterinarian and owner of Stockton Hill Animal Hospital. I am originally from Iowa but moved to Kingman after graduating from the College of Veterinarian Medicine at Iowa State University in 1995. Some may know me as Dr. Nelson- I married in March of 2010 and so am now Dr. Andrews!

I share my home with my husband, Art, and my pug, Satya. In my free time, I enjoy working out, snowboarding, hiking and just enjoying the beautiful Arizona outdoors! My husband and I are huge fans of Star Wars and have quite a collection of props and costumes from the movie as well as other movies. Like many others, I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was little. Unfortunately, I had a weak stomach and had decided that I simply could not do it. However, I had such a strong desire to spend my life helping animals that I forced myself to overcome my fears and pursue a career in veterinary medicine. It was one of the best decisions I ever made and I have greatly enjoyed this profession for the past 16 years. I look forward to another 16 years taking care of pets and their owners at Stockton Hill Animal Hospital.

Stockton Hill Animal Hospital has a small but vibrant staff with some employees having been here for over 10 years! We strive toward offering the best care for your pets, one way we do this is by having all employees regularly participate in continued education. We have a dedicated front desk team. Our receptionists always do their best to make our schedule work for you. They take time to contribute to your in hospital experience ensuring that every person leaves with a smile and some treats!

We have a team of technicians throughout the hospital. Our room technician works alongside Dr. Andrews and our front staff throughout each day to offer tailored, quality care to our clients one on one. Our remote technician takes extra time to educate clients on their pet’s health and answer questions each day.

Our veterinary technicians in the back of the hospital ensure that our patient care and in-house laboratory are operating smoothly. Kennel technicians also play a big role in our hospital, in addition to ensure that our furry visitors have an enjoyable stay, they are the primary helpers when an assist is needed.

Behind the scenes, we have a devoted office manager ensuring that our hospital is staying up to date with the latest technology and education enabling us to provide the best possible care to our patients.

Here, at our hospital, we want to get to know you and your pets. You are more than a chart number! Come on in and get to know us, we would enjoy the opportunity to work with you.
